<i>Q</i>-Band Radial Waveguide Power Divider Based on a Specific Cycloidal-Like Transition Implementation

An axially symmetric radial waveguide power divider, which utilizes a specific Cycloidal-Like tapered transition between central coaxial launcher and waveguide, is presented in this paper. In order to broad the operation band, change of impedance investigated, an analytic expression for shape obtained. A simple electromagnetic modeling stepped matching network developed, its characteristics are analyzed detail using circuit method. Eventually, stepped-by-stepped design procedure divider established divider. twenty-way designed, fabricated, measured validate proposed The measurements show that return loss at input port better than 20 dB over almost full ${Q}$ -band (33 48 GHz), while amplitude/phase imbalance within ±0.5 ±3°, respectively. simulated results demonstrate high degree agreement.
